Client's Questions Answered
What makes this “advanced” pregnancy massage?
This is more than a spa-style massage. We combine hands-on soft tissue therapy with clinical knowledge and individualised care – helping address pain, postural changes, or stress-related tension.
When can I have a massage during pregnancy?
We treat from 12 weeks, with adjustments for each stage. If you’re under consultant care or have medical concerns, we may ask for midwife or GP clearance.
Is it safe to lie on my front or back?
We use adapted side-lying and supported reclined positions – no pressure on your bump, and comfort always comes first.
Do you offer postnatal support too?
Yes – we provide postnatal massage and C-section scar therapy. Learn more on our Postnatal Massage page.
Can pregnancy massage help with pelvic girdle pain (PGP)?
Yes. PGP is one of the most common reasons clients book with us. We use targeted soft tissue techniques to ease tension around the pelvis, hips, and lower back – helping reduce pain and improve mobility.
How often should I have pregnancy massage?
That depends on your symptoms. Some clients come fortnightly for ongoing support; others book as and when discomfort flares up. We’ll guide you based on what your body needs – there’s no set programme.
Can I book if I have a high-risk pregnancy?
In most cases, yes – but we may ask for written clearance from your midwife or consultant first. Your safety always comes first, and we’ll adapt everything accordingly.
What should I wear?
Whatever you’re comfortable in. We use towels and positioning supports so you’re always covered and supported. You don’t need to undress fully if you are not happy to do so – we work with what you’re comfortable with.
Ready to book?
If pregnancy is taking a toll on your body, we’re here to help – with calm, skilled, clinical care adapted to you.
