SEN & Neurological Conditions

Many neurological and SEN-related conditions can lead to chronic tension, restricted mobility, movement pattern challenges, or physical discomfort – whether due to hypotonia, spasticity, sensory processing issues, or postural holding patterns.

At Advance SRM Therapies, we provide specialist soft tissue support for a wide range of presentations linked to neurodevelopmental and neurodiverse conditions. We do not offer medical or behavioural therapy – but we do offer skilled, physical care to ease tension, support mobility, and help the body feel more at ease. All therapy is delivered by practitioners with extensive experience working with SEN and neurodivergent individuals, who are comfortable adapting sessions to suit sensory needs, physical presentations, and individual comfort levels.

We commonly support:

  • Cerebral Palsy – managing tone, reducing muscular discomfort, and supporting comfort in adaptive postures
  • Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) – working gently with sensory sensitivity, physical stress responses, or habitual holding patterns
  • ADHD & Dyspraxia – addressing muscular fatigue, fidget-related tension, and movement inefficiencies
  • Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) – providing predictable, consent-led touch for those with heightened physical awareness
  • Neurological presentations from stroke, genetic conditions, or early injury

We adapt each session around the individual’s comfort, preferences and needs – working collaboratively with carers or families where needed.

We’re not here to “correct” anyone’s body – but we do aim to make it more comfortable to live in.
