Soft Tissue Therapy is a new level of clinical practice in the UK.  It  goes far beyond sports massage (which it includes) by providing a safe and effective remedy for minor and chronic injuries caused by any lifestyle stress. Soft tissue therapy offers people a great alternative mode of physical therapy developed to meet their modern healthcare needs.

Continued professional development completed to employ orthopedic diagnostic assessment and testing to  accurately determine the cause of musculo-skeletal and soft tissue pain is essential for any serious massage therapist.

Rehabilitation at AdvanceSRM is about enabling and supporting clients to recover or adjust, to achieve their full potential and to live as full and active lives as possible.

This qualiication is held by practictioners that have demonstrated they are capable of performing Soft Tissue Therapy at the highest of standards. Holders of the BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma are able to effectively integrate three essential clinical elements into their practice: 1. Assessment - Applying a range of assessment methods to determine whether Soft Tissue Therapy is appropriate and devise a suitable treatment plan for the individual client. 2. Treatment - Applying a range of soft tissue techniques (including massage) to aid recovery from injury and improve soft tissue condition and joint mobility. 3. Rehabilitation - Offering advice on a range of remedial exercises and lifestyle factors aimed at speeding up recovery, preventing injury recurrence as well as improving posture, performance and function.

Advanced training in pregnancy and postnatal therapis that equips the therapist with the ability to provide an expert restorative, soothing and results based therapy session for a pregnant woman. The course develops advanced soft tissue skills, which help the much maligned Post Natal woman recover deeply.  

The postnatal aspect of the training ensures that the practitioner understands the soft tissue implications of birthing via C-Section, the power of soft tissue therapies for the woman healing Diastasis Recti both locally and globally via improving alignment.  It also educates the therapist  about the essential role of supportive recovery nourishment in the postnatal period and the role of re-connecting and reinstating core synergy for the postnatal woman, including 'resetting the postnatal breath' as a means of restoring Core Function.  

This certification is awarded to therapists that have undertaken the appropriate training to provide specialist massage treatment for clients suffering with or survived cancer. Research has shown that massage can help clients control ther symptoms, manage their condition and benefit a person's global well-being. Therapists that have successfully completed this training, work sensitively and intuitively with the intention of improving each client's quality of life. 

This CPD in the application of kinesiology tape, means that therpists at the clinic are competant in using this specialist tape to compliment the effective management of the treatment and rehabilitation of both sporting and non-sporting patients suffering from musculoskeletal conditions.  Upon completion of this training the therpaist is able to compliment their soft tissue treatments for controlling, for example -  Symptoms, Oedema, Postural Inadequacies, Pain, Stability, Injury Repair. 

Qualified to deal with first aid situations in low risk workplace environments for the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982 purposes.

All therapists are required to hold an up-to-date public liability insurance before they are permitted to treat and/or provide specialist massage services for any client at the AdvanceSRM clinic.
